Transition...

What's up world....

My last post was a few weeks ago... Since that posting, I've had a couple changes. I'm definitely in a transition in life.

I'll start with the not-so-good change... Unfortunately, I had to end my weekly open mic/showcase event, OpenMicJam. After celebrating 1 year of the event, due to financial restraints, I had to shut it down. It wasn't an easy decision.

I'm still struggling with it. Mainly due to the overwhelming responses from those who attended the event, I'm planning a possible re-launching of OpenMicJam. Trying to remain positive. I was completely drained. Weekly events can be stressful. They take tons of work, dedication & patience.

The other changes mostly deal with a new outlook on life. I've been dealing with people close to me being sick. When someone close to you is battling for their life, it makes take a look at your life & focus on what's really important. My dad & my best friend are both battling cancer. I lost one of my grandmother's to cancer. The toll it can have on a family is huge.

In addition to that, another good friend of mines has Lupus & fighting for her life daily while trying to raise my god-son. My whole focus has shifted now. Health is my biggest priority. And making myself available to those who need me.

My future is a new focus too. I'm actually considering going back to school now. I've always heard in order to accrue wealth you need multiple income streams. Finishing school ensures that for me. And keeps me in a position to help those close to me who need my help.
