What's world...
It's a new day. I'm thankful that GOD has allowed me to see another year of life!! I celebrated my 33rd birthday yesterday!!! I received so much love yesterday I became overwhelmed!!! I literally was brought to tears!!! As I've gotten older, the need or desire for material things has waned... Those things don't excite me when it comes to my birthday. The most important thing anyone can do is share their time with me. Or hearing words of appreciation & love. That means more to me than any physical gift someone could give.
If you haven't realized it yet, TIME is our most VALUABLE asset. I now make it a point to spend time with those I love. Regardless of the setting, your presence can be the greatest thing you can offer. Well, speaking for me, it's important.
I was serenaded yesterday. I received tons of messages. I accepted all the hugs I could. It was a day that was full of love & I'm grateful for it.
If you were someone who were a part of my birthday celebrations, I APPRECIATE YOU. Thank you for being in my life & sharing love.

Unity
What's world...
Just thought I'd share a brief experience I had recently...
I got to sit in a round table type session with some of my brothers (not related) & got to hear their perspectives of who GOD is to them. What caught my attention the most was the willingness each one had to share where they were & acknowledging what they needed to improve on. No one in this circle put on facades or let pride get in the way of being open and for men, I believe that a big thing.
I personally don't think enough men get together & share unless it's over sports, video games & hitting the club... I think there needs to be more bonding & it'll help us hold each other accountable for what we do. And we should be encouraging, uplifting & loving on each other. None of us are perfect but yearn to be better men. Each person has made a choice to do what's necessary to be better. They've realized that focusing on GOD's purpose is the most important thing.
We're not created for ourselves. We're here for others. Touching, changing & impacting lives is our purpose. It's time to step up & be the leaders we were created to be. We all have gifts. We all have a calling. Seek GOD for direction. The more we come together & truly recognize that there is strength in numbers, we'll start to see things around us change. And this is not just for the men that may read this, but for women too.
There are so many people void of love. Let's start to focus on operating in the spirit of love. We can't judge people based on their cover. It's vital that we tap into the spirit & discern where people are on the inside. Souls need to be saved. Hearts need to be healed. Minds need to be renewed. These things can happen if our focus is right & we come together.
WE NEED UNITY TO BUILD A COMMUNITY.
That's all I had to share today. Thanks for listening. Feel free to share or leave comments.

A Random Thought Process
Hey world...
It's been awhile since my last blog... Life has a way of becoming a distraction when you let it. I definitely have allowed situations & people cause me to lose my focus. The good thing is that your focus can be adjusted. There is always an opportunity to correct what we've done wrong. So basically I've gotten back to the basics on a lot of things... I've even lost some people along the way. I understand that all the hell I've been thru will make me a better man, friend, brother, son & leader.
I made a lot of mistakes this year, none of which I can take back. But I have learned from them & know what to do if the situation arises again. That's the point, right? To learn from errors?? We either learn via another person, thru seeking for ourselves OR our experiences. I'll be learning every day of my life & grateful for the lessons regardless of what the source is. AND I make it a point to accept the good & bad as well as taking the blame for MY decisions.
This year alone I found out who really has my back & who doesn't. I realize that I'm still totally comfortable in my skin regardless of what has happened. I've dealt with each situation that I needed to & have no regrets. I've even put aside my pride more... I'm very stubborn & I needed to be in some uncomfortable situations to lay down that pride. We all need help sometimes & we have to take chances on trusting people. Getting thru my trust issues is my biggest obstacle. And it adds to the complexity that makes up who I am....
I remember even as a child that I was always misunderstood... My way of conveying my feelings are probably annoying or irritating to most I come in contact with. My nonchalant demeanor can rub people the wrong way at times as well as my straight forwardness. I don't apologize for it though. It's who I am... Flaws & all. My intentions are never bad & I truly come from a place of love. The one thing people can say is that I'm consistent. I'm the same way with EVERYONE. I'm so far removed from lying to people to spare feelings or to stay on their good side... I tell the truth in EVERY situation. If your feelings are hurt from me telling the truth, I'm TOTALLY fine with that. I'd rather you be upset temporarily & still have your trust & respect.
If I offend you, it's probably because you needed to be... Truth always hurts. I hear people always saying they want the truth regardless but sometimes they just be lying to themselves. They really want to hear what they want to hear... They want the Mr. Niceguy... They want their ego stroked... I'm not that dude. Once you get into the habit of trying to impress everyone & be liked by all, you will become miserable. Being respected is more important than being liked.
If you didn't get the gist of the last couple paragraphs, I'm basically saying I don't care about being liked. I'm going to be me. Get it?? I think you do. LOL. My purpose in life isn't to befriend everyone. It's to love EVERYONE & show all of you there's liberty in being yourself. You do not have to compromise who you are to succeed & make a difference in people's lives. Get COMFORTABLE in your skin. Be unique. Live free. No limits.
Peace be unto you good people. Talk to you soon.

Times Like These...
Hey world...
There are times in our lives when the unexpected occurs & can rattle us to the core... It's definitely something that can sometimes bring about fear, worrying, discouragement, etc... Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for what does or doesn't happen (at least in our minds). I've realized that understanding will not always be there when something happens initially. You have to go through whatever it is to gain insight. Just chalk it up as another lesson learned & know GOD is looking out for you.
I've gone through some unbelievable situations over the last 3 months & at times questioned myself and others... But I understand that I'm responsible for all that happens in my life, not others. Same with you. Think about all the things that are or aren't occurring in your life at the moment... The root of everything will always be YOU. Any struggles or failures we may have in life are the direct result of what we did or did not do. We're not puppets, battery operated or controlled by a joystick. The power of choice is a huge responsibility & it separates the people who "make it' and the people who don't.
Stop blaming others for what you lack. Be accountable for your actions. Most importantly, CHANGE YOU so things around you can begin to change.
Another thing is, who do you hang around?? Do these people challenge you?? You become the company that you keep. Are you around positive people?? Do they inspire you?? Do they motivate you?? Do they keep it real with you at all times?? Do you share the same beliefs?? Are you attached to people who are successful?? Ask yourself these things... Think about who you call "friend"... Or who you associate with... Take the answers you have into consideration & see where you're being influenced or how you're being influenced.
That's my spill for today... Hope it was helpful.
Live a life of Peace, Unity, Love & Liberty...
Let's P.U.L.L. on each other! :-)

Thoughts
Hey world...
Ever wonder why bad things happen even though you're doing things right?? Or have you ever wondered why you can't get help when you need it especially when others needed help from you & you were available??? It just doesn't make sense sometimes...
Things tend to not make sense quite a bit... It's the unknown factor that rattles or scares people. We hate not knowing why things happen. And the unknown keeps up from taking the leaps/risks we may need to take to get where we are going. I've always been told that when things aren't going your way it's because you're being taught something... GOD is trying to show you something & wants/needs your attention.
Just because something isn't right doesn't mean you're losing out... It just means something else better is available. Storms will continue to come but it's what you do in the midst of these storms that determine the outcome. They also help build & shape your character. Although you may not think there is a bright side or things look dim, keep pushing & face the tests. There's always a reward waiting for you...
I know there are others besides myself that are encountering some storms... Don't be afraid to ask for help. Explore all options. Don't give up. You will make it!
Just thought I'd share my latest thoughts.... Hope this helps someone get through. It certainly is helping me.
Peace & Love,
BooG

Hmmm....
What's up world...
This is really just a random blog moment... I've pondering over quite a few things & felt like sharing some of these thoughts.
First, I'm just so appalled at the lengths some women will go to keep up drama... The past is the past. Why is it so important to bring up something old that has no bearing on your present state nor your future??? Seems pointless to me. If something wasn't that important to bring up or address when it was going on, why do you want to create drama??? Does this make you feel better?? Are you just trying to transfer your pain, agony & hurt onto me??? If I've moved on, you should be able to do the same. Unless the situation has a direct effect on what's going to happen, YOU SHOULD LET IT GO.
Misery loves company... Bitter is not cute.
Second, I'm finding out that almost everyone I come in contact with has trust issues. And it's the biggest reason why so much drama exists. The killer part is that most will acknowledge they have it but don't take any steps to heal or get to the root of the problem. Then they still pursuit relationships, putting themselves in a position to possibly fail from the jump!
Misery loves.... I think you get it.
Lastly, I'm actually opening back up to the thought of loving someone again... The last year has been a huge transition to going from loving someone so much you want to spend eternity with them & they are a huge part of your life... To not even communicating to them & having to let go because it was the right thing to do. It hurt like hell but I'm finally at peace with it. It's a daily process to shed all the baggage that came with it & I know I hurt some women along the way... Sometimes we think we're ready for something only to find out we weren't. The sad thing is it effects not only you but others. My intent was not to waste anyone's time or lead them on. I hope I've been forgiven.
Well that's all from me today... It's been awhile since my last blog. I'm hoping to be more consistent moving forward. Thanks for listening.

Heart Break
Hey world...
This blog is more on a somber, melancholy vibe... One of my best friend's, who's really like a sister to me, got married this past Saturday, July 30th. I had been looking forward to this day for months & was so excited for her. Her husband is a great guy & liked him the first time she introduced him to me. Due to some very unfortunate & unforeseeable circumstances, I was unable to make it to the wedding & it has torn me to pieces. I cried so hard on Saturday because it really hurt me that I couldn't be there to share the experience with her! Even as I type, I'm tearing up because I just love her so much & the thought of possibly disappointing her is unbearable... She has been so great to me & her family. They welcomed me into their lives & their home.
Although she hasn't expressed any disappointment, I'm just still really sick about missing out. When you really love & care for someone, it's just not a good feeling letting them down. This was a huge occasion! And I missed everything!!! Her walk down the aisle... Her dad giving her away... Their vows... The "I Do's"... The sacred kiss... The first dance... Bouquet & garter toss... The cutting of the cake... ALL THE TRADITIONAL WEDDING MOMENTS THAT ARE UNFORGETTABLE. And the only way I can know what transpired that day is via pictures... It's just not the same. I'm just so hurt... This may bother me for awhile. I love hard & loyal to those I care about. My heart is just in pieces over this..... *sigh*
Stacy if you read this, I LOVE YOU & DARREN. I'm SO SORRY I MISSED YOUR WEDDING DAY. PLEASE FORGIVE ME.

Just Random
What's up world...
I'm just in a random mood so I decided to share it with the world lol... I've definitely had some ups & downs this year. It has basically been the best & worst year at the same time!! Crazy, right??? Despite any challenges or things that didn't go my way, I have no complaints. I believe that everything has to happen the way it does & that we have the power to change our situations. Why point fingers when we're the ones making the decisions about what does or doesn't happen. We're not being controlled by strings or by a remote control. It's so easy to place blame on everyone or everything else except ourselves.
I personally don't do the blame game... Nor do I try to duck accountability or my responsibilities. You can't call yourself "grown" if you aren't responsible. BE GROWN FOR REAL. Stop playing & acting like you are.
That was my rant...lol
So, in other news... I'm living the single life once again & doing the dating thing hasn't really been a priority. Crazy thing is, I'm actually interested in someone. It's hard being a single man because there are so many choices. SO MANY FINE WOMEN! Sheesh!!!! LOL!!!! Unfortunately, I can't just date to date. It's pointless. You should date with a purpose. I'm at a point in my life where I'm thinking long-term. If I meet someone & marriage isn't something they're thinking about then dating IS NOT AN OPTION. I'd be wasting your time & mines. NOT SMART. I'm looking though... Which is good for me because for awhile I didn't even have the desire to. My belief in the process had wavered a little bit. But I just couldn't allow past situations keep me chained & boxed in. I want to be happy & make someone else happy for a lifetime. I desire to be a husband & a father. And I know I'd be great in both roles!
Well, I'm done with that spill...lol
My next topic is concerning church/religion/spirituality... But I'm going to devote a blog just for that. I got a lot to say!! LOL!!
Anyway, thanks for listening... All comments are welcome & appreciated.

Gifts
Hello world!
I decided to do a short post today since I had recent discussion about gifs... It's more so a post of encouragement because I know & come across so many people who aren't doing what they really want to do. YOUR purpose is in your gifts! I am very fortunate right now to be doing what I love to do for a living. I always knew my path would turn out this way. I just didn't know in what way. Regardless of where I am or who I come in contact with, my message to everyone is to pursue their passions! That's where your true joy comes from. There's peace in the midst of that passion as well. Embrace what you love. By doing this, I promise you will motivate & inspire others to do the same. Stay connected to those that understand & who are following the same type of path. Taking the risk to chase your dreams isn't an easy task, but it's not meant to be either. If it comes to you easy, it'll leave that way too. Enjoy the process of the "grind" that's required. The rewards are great. You can do anything you put your mind to. Will yourself to greatness! Even if it looks unreachable, it's always within reach. BELIEVE. Then ACT!!! THE WORLD IS YOURS. TAKE WHAT BELONGS TO YOU.

I'm back again! LOL
What's up world!!! It's been a little over a month since my last post... So much has been going on. I've started 2 events with a few more on the way... But as always, there is the trial & storm that you have to go thru when stepping out into the "uncomfortable". I've realized that we can't escape those hard or rough times. It's all a part of the process we have to go thru to grow, expand & mature. And it builds character as well.
I'm going to make more of an effort to post with regularity now. Especially since I have things to speak about that may be of interest to you. The connections I've made & have currently give me enough things to introduce to the masses. I love to highlight & promote others anyway. So.... Over the course of the next few weeks I'll be connecting you to new people! I have some artists to expose you to & some of the movers & shakers in Detroit as well as nationally & abroad!!
Artists that I'll be spotlighting includes: RenCen CoolBeanz, P8tience, T.R.A.I.N, A-Dot, Gwenation, Karl Kingson, JiG, Kristopher Lamont, Mike McDaniel, Josh Adams, J Stokes, Street Justice & O.T.I.S!!!! I'll also be introducing you to Cash Hollistah (Kansas), Promise (Toronto) & Othello (Portland).
In addition to the music blogs, I'll also share topics on different subjects, such as relationships, religion, education, fashion & maybe even politics... Just so you know (disclaimer lol) in advance, all views expressed on this blog are my viewpoints & opinions. I welcome all comments!!! I aim to entertain, encourage & hopefully educate you in the process!!! Welcome back to BooG's World!!!!!

Team BooG
What's up world!!! It's been over 2 weeks since my last post... So many things are coming together that I just want to share!!!
First, I want to acknowledge & heap praise onto my great support system, Team BooG!!! I truly believe that we'll do great things together!! Team BooG consists of Kristopher J Crosby (my manager), Aaron Wilson III (graphic designer), Ra'Sheia Hardy (event planner), Elizabeth St. Clair (event planner/host), Charmane Bowers (event planner/coordinator), Charles Green (personal trainer), Fellon Johnson (promoter/assistant), Reginald & Ebony Dockery (event planners/coordinators/hosts/managers,photography), Jon Aferi (photographer) & J.D. Gunn II (web design/videographer). Love them all!!!! And we have two new editions as well!!! Toyce Watts & Alicia Sanders. Welcome!!!! Let's make things happen!!!!!
As you can see by all the exclamation marks (lol), I'm really excited!!! Each of team members keep me inspired & motivated. Having people around who believe in you & want to work with you is a great feeling. Especially when you're all on the same page. We can all achieve our goals by working together. There is strength in numbers!!!
We currently have 2 events solidified and have 5 more in the works... I'm hoping there will be even more events that we can put together as a team. I feel like we all compliment each other. So..........
June 1st will be the opening night for the Open Mic Jam @ The Key Club in Downtown Detroit! This event will feature great singers, rappers, dancers, producers, musicians, poets & comedians!!! It will be the ultimate place for people to showcase their gifts. Nothing but love & tons of fun!!!!
June 3rd will be the return of Ladies Night Out @ One Fifty Lounge in Downtown Detroit! This event is a night of catering to GOD's greatest creation (in my opinion)!!! This will be a monthly event occurring the 1st Friday of the month. There will be a different theme each month as well. So look forward to lots of fun, great music & great people!
Coming soon: 80s & 90s old school party, pampering event, Halloween party, concerts, comedy shows
There are other things in the works but can't let out all the goods just yet! ;)
If you think you can contribute to our team, then send an email to: authenticpllc@gmail.com or kristopherjcrosby@gmail.com & we'll set up a meeting with you.
As always, thanks for reading & listening. I'm working on developing consistency with my blog... Please be patient with me.

Artist Profile Edition #1 - KeeM The FranchiZe
Hey world!!! This is my first artist profile blog!! I'm going to feature a new, up & coming or current artist each week!!! My first feature belongs to KeeM The FranchiZe (I'm his official dj by the way lol) who is originally from Detroit, but now resides in Houston, TX. Please check out his Bio's below & go visit his websites & follow him. PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS/FEEDBACK. Thanks.
BIO
Presently and without question the world of Hip Hop continues to expand and be
influential. Influenced by Hip Hop, KeeM The FranchiZe, is now part of that expansion.
Born Juaquenn Gunn II, the Detroit native recalls listening to a broad range of music
growing up which helped to shape his musical interest. However, there was something
magnetic and fascinating about Hip Hop that later inspired him to pursue being an
Emcee.
At an early age he joined his first group, and finally performed at his first show. KeeM
recalls, “That the feeling was liberating.” He was in awe of the power of the mic, and that
it could cause such change in a person's life. At that moment KeeM decided to use his
skills and talents to ignite a positive change in the lives of others.
KeeM was later signed to his first record deal as part of a three man group. One album
and many singles later, KeeM decided to branch out as a solo artist. Influenced by artists
such as Lupe Fiasco, Q-Tip, Common, Mute Math, and Daft Punk, KeeM continues to
develop his style and lyrical ability. Listening to everything from Rock, R&B, Gospel,
Jazz and Techno keeps KeeM well rounded and versed in multiple genres of music.
Every genre is special and inspires KeeM to be a diverse artist. Audiences will witness
this thought-provoking and unique fusion on KeeM's up and coming Debut Album
entitled ARENA READY!
This songwriter / author / actor / student filmmaker / philanthropist is determined to make
a global impact. His mission is to ignite, inspire, and influence through his words and
music, and the visual presentation of his songs. After listening to his music and seeing
him perform, KeeM’s hope is that audiences will feel the desire to Dream Big & Live
Free!
